This is a screen capture of the Photoshop configuration. I imported from Adobe Bridge into Photoshop layers three images of the scene taken in the afternoon, of the basic scene, an automobile driving down the main road, and of a pedestrian. I copied the noir image to the top layer, added a neutral layer mask, selected the pedestrian image, and transitioned at the light pole using gradient on the mask.
I duplicated the image, flattened the layers, converted to 8 bit depth, and exported as JPEG 12. I cropped using Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw and exported as JPEG 9 to submit.
