I imported the two images to Photoshop from Bridge. I upsampled the winter scene by 200%. I selected a rectangle around the paddleboarder and copied, then pasted to the winter scene, as a layer. I used Select Subject, then Select and mask ... to a layer mask. I edited the mask to include what I wanted of the paddleboarder. I sized the paddleboarder to fit the scene with Edit/ Transform/ Scale. I added a brightness and contrast adjustment layer, linked to the paddleboarder, and a curves layer, also linked, and adjusted so the paddleboarder matched the winter scene. I duplicated the image, flattened the copy, changed mode to 8 bits, and saved as jpeg 12. I used Camera Raw on the copy to sharper slightly and exported a jpeg 7 to publish.
