Taken in 2006 in Pecos Pueblo in New Mexico, just southeast of Santa Fe.  It was abandoned in the 1830s and is now a National Monument.  There was light rain the day before this shot so there was bright sunlight.  The kiva is a covered pit eight feet deep and ten feet in diameter with a ladder for entrance.  The fireplace is for offerings and the hole in the wall beyond the fireplace is symbolic of access to  the sprit world.  It was windy and noisy above; descending into the Kiva was a contrast of quite for contemplation.  The dust in the air and the beam of sunlight from the entrance above created a compelling scene.  The diagonal of the sunbeam and the framing of the beam and supports combined to give a golden spiral ending in the sunlight on the floor.  I shot this with a Canon EOS 30D.
