Richard Hodgman's Art Photographs

The assignment was to make a product photo.
I used Tejava.
I set up on our patio, with a green hedge as background. The natural background is to emphasize the natural ingredients in Tejava. I cut out an outline from cardboard, with a stand at the bottom, and covered in aluminum foil. I placed it behind the bottle and set it on a white table in the late morning, in indirect light. I used a 1000 lumen flashlight to illuminate the reflector - and it was too dim in daylight.
I started over in the evening. I set up a daylight LED on a tripod with a reflector, up and to the right of the subject. I shot 39 frames, with the flashlight and with a Lumecube mini panel behind, set to 5500 °K. The best shot was with the mini panel and a tight shot.
I used my Canon EOS 5D3 with the kit lens at 105 mm.
Afterwards I added the caption in Photoshop.
